All the votes are casted. A Sole Survivor has been decided.
Unfortunately, we are going to have to wait a little bit for the Sole Survivor to be crowned. I'm going on vacation from April 27th to May 6th, so I won't be around. The live Reunion / Finale will have to be sometime after that.
But that doesn't mean there won't be exciting reveals in the meantime. I want to do something different with the Asteria reveal. Why? I know for a fact, that even in 16-person games, that just opening up all the confessionals all at once is too much information to handle. Nobody really reads through any of it because there's just too much at once. I don't even read through most of the confessionals in games I play in, or other games I've watched. That's really sad too, because there is SO SO much good things in these confessionals that really ought to be read. You can't read it all in a day, or a week, or probably even a month. If everything opens at once, then 99% of it won't be read.
Another negative when opening everything at once, is that the sense of time is warped. You can't really tell just by looking at the date of the post when something happened. Reading confessionals out of context is pointless, because they are responding to a certain event that has already occurred. And they have no knowledge of what might happen in the future. It's hard to tell what has already happened, what the writer is responding too, etc, just by looking at a date.
So... I have a solution for both of these problems. Unfortunately it has a slight, unusual drawback. Proboards does not have a "copy thread" button. If I could, I'd just copy the threads in your confessionals over. Then it'd be win/win for everyone. I will create boards for each "Year" the game took place. I'll create sub-boards for each tribe, and move all confessionals and conversations from that year into that sub-board. Every three days on Mondays and Thursdays, I'll open up one Year of the game and you can read everything that happened in that year.
I do realize that many of you cherish your confessionals and that me moving away threads from months ago doesn't sound like a fun idea. The whole process of moving over threads from 36 confessionals and creating boards will take me, in total, approximately 30-40 hours of my life. Unfortunately I do not have the time to copy each one of your threads by hand just so you can have a nice pretty confessional.

All your posts will still be there, they will just be in a different area. Everyone will still be able to read what you've written. In fact, they are much more likely to read it with this new method. Plus, it's a way for me to release "Episodes" in a feasable manner. Thank you for your understanding. I've thought about this a lot and talked to a lot of people to gauge their feelings - and most of what I've heard is positive.
Of course, episodes releasing every three days is not the only thing happening post-Asteria.
