Welcome to Tribal Council!
Sam stands, arms clasped behind his back. The castaways cross the bridge into Tribal Council as they hold their torches alit above their heads.
Each tribe member hits the cymbal one by one as they walk into Tribal Council, the loud booming sound reverberating into the jungle.
They set their torches behind them, and take a seat, prepared for Tribal Council.
Sam: It's that time again. Instead of vague premonitions and dire warnings, I'd rather just congratulate you all on making it so far. You've survived 18 other people (19 voted off exactly), meaning in any regular game you'd be at the very end. Unfortunately, this game is rather large... so 18th and 17th place can sound bad. But you've been in the game for a month and a half now and that's something really to be proud of. Lots of other players would kill to be where you are. You've competed in 11 challenges, survived countless tribal councils, and met a bunch of new people. As far as I'm concerned, you all have already succeeded and obviously know what you are doing. Nice.
*Sam solemnly walks over to the voting booth and grabs the bucket filled with votes*
*He sets it on the pedestal in front of him*

The person with the most votes will bring their torch to me and be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately.
It's time to tally the votes.
We have two people nominated today in Asteria. They are...
I'm seeing double!
Jen and Patrick.
The third and fourth votes are for...
Patrick and Jen.
Two more right at ya.
Patrick and... Patrick.
4: Patrick
2: Jen
Two more can even the score.
Jen and Jen.
Tied at four.
Two more votes to be revealed... both at the same time.
The ninth and tenth votes...
And the second person voted out of the Xavante Tribe is...

Patrick, by a vote of 6-4, you are evicted from the Asteria house.
*Sam uses the snuffer to extinguish Patrick's torch*

Sam: Thank you for coming back and giving it another run, Patrick. It was great hosting and talking with you and I hope you had a good time in the 11 Years you were here with challenges and the people and the game. I'll never forget the intensity of Anasazi and the strategy that went on there. Likewise, you on the Zaza tribe was quite memorable and there never was a dull moment. Thanks for the confessionals, activity, and friendship. Your presence in the game will be missed. Good luck in the future.
Sam: Post Final Words in your confessional ASAP.
*Patrick walks out of the Tribal Council area and into the darkness*
Sam: Out goes another. A thought: is it better to stick with the people who you like a lot and are better friends with... even though at the end things get crazy? Or should you try and keep yourself in power by aligning with those who you don't feel as comfortable aligning with but maybe don't feel as secure, personality wise? It'd really suck to switch sides and then be voted out, or even worse to align with people you don't really like and help them get further and then be voted out. Of course it'd suck to be voted out by people you considered friends too.
But does it matter what positions other people get besides what position you get? That's an open Survivor theory question, and I can see arguments for both sides. Some people say it doesn't matter one whit if the most evil jackass has a high chance of winning the whole thing if that means it also gives you a little better chance of winning. Others think that the best security lies with friends and that giving up a little security now can pay off greatly in the future when the really close votes come around and people trust you. What do you think?
I'll say one thing that pretty much isn't an open Survivor-theory question: deciding to cut somebody off entirely, no matter what they've done, can be disastrous. There's nothing worse than a strategy without options. Nobody will ever get their perfect game and their perfect Final Whatever to the end. You gotta take what you can get. Neleh and Paschal knew that.
*9 lit torches are seen floating out of TC*
*9 times the gong is hit as 9 Survivors exit Tribal Council*
